Role Description The Technical Sales Manager – Life Sciences will be responsible for developing and growing business with life science customers by positioning iConn’s electro-mechanical and interconnect solutions to meet their technical and operational needs. This full-time remote role includes identifying and qualifying new opportunities, managing the sales cycle, preparing proposals, and conducting technical presentations and product demonstrations to engineering and procurement teams. The role involves collaborating with internal engineering, operations, and logistics teams to translate customer specifications into viable solutions, ensure accurate quotations, and support smooth project delivery. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining and expanding key accounts, providing technical support during pre- and post-sales activities, monitoring market trends in life sciences instrumentation and equipment, and maintaining accurate CRM records and sales forecasts. The Technical Sales Manager will also contribute to strategic planning, participate in industry events and virtual meetings, and uphold high standards of customer service and communication.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Technical Sales and Sales, with the ability to explain complex electro-mechanical and interconnect solutions to life science customers.
- Experience in Account Management, including nurturing long-term relationships, managing pipelines, and growing business within existing accounts.
- Background in Technical Support, with the capability to address product-related questions, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with engineering teams.
- Strong Customer Service skills, ensuring responsive communication, proactive follow-up, and a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience in technical sales.
- Experience selling into life sciences, medical devices, or laboratory equipment markets, preferably involving interconnects, assemblies, or electronic components.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple opportunities, and use CRM and collaboration tools effectively.
