A leading global investment firm is looking for a Fund Accounting & Reporting Associate to join its growing Finance team in New York City.
This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional with 2–3 years of experience who is looking to move into—or continue building their career within—the financial services and investment management space. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in public accounting or a combination of public and private accounting, along with experience supporting financial services clients or complex accounting environments.
In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting the firm’s fund reporting function and will have exposure to a variety of stakeholders across the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Prepare and review interim and year-end fund financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Build and enhance scalable fund reporting processes and internal controls
- Partner with teams across Tax, Operations, Treasury, Valuation, Legal, Compliance, and Investor Relations
- Work closely with external fund administrators and auditors on audits, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and data integrity
- Support new fund launches, restructurings, fee calculations, and other accounting deliverables
- Assist with regulatory and investor-facing reporting
- Take ownership of ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives for senior management
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
- 2–3 years of relevant public accounting or public/private accounting experience
- Audit or accounting experience within financial services
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex accounting data
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders
