Systematic / Quantitative Execution & Operations Trader – Hedge Fund

The Role
Our client, a leading quantitative hedge fund based in Switzerland, is seeking a Systematic Execution & Operations Trader.
This role sits at the intersection of trading, technology, and operations, with responsibility for executing systematic strategies and ensuring robust trade lifecycle processes.
You will work closely with Portfolio Managers, Quantitative Researchers, Engineers, brokers, and clearing firms to deliver efficient execution and scalable, reliable trading operations.
This is not a P&L-owning role. Strong execution judgement, quantitative literacy, attention to detail, and technical ability are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and oversee systematic strategies, particularly across futures, options, swaps, and other derivatives.
- Manage the execution process from order generation through completion, focusing on best execution, slippage, and accuracy.
- Partner with Quant and Technology teams to improve execution, order routing, and automation.
- Own key elements of the trade lifecycle, including capture, allocation, reconciliation, and settlement.
- Monitor margin, collateral, clearing, and risk workflows.
- Support post-trade processes, including P&L reconciliation and reporting.
- Work with Front Office, Operations, Technology, brokers, and clearing firms to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Develop Python-based tools and analysis to automate and improve trading and operational workflows.
Requirements
- Approximately 2–10 years' experience in execution, trading operations, or a related role within a quantitative or systematic investment firm.
- Good understanding of systematic trading and derivatives markets, ideally including futures, options, and swaps.
- Strong quantitative literacy and good Python skills, with the ability to analyse data and build tooling.
- Familiarity with OMS/EMS, execution workflows, and post-trade infrastructure.
- Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working across Trading, Operations, and Technology.
