Compensation: Base 85,300 to 93,800 EUR + BSPCE.
We are looking for an Analytics / Data Platform Engineer to be the single owner of our data layer. BigQuery, dbt, semantic layer, event tracking, and AI agents as data consumers.
This is the first dedicated Data hire in years. The foundations run, nobody owns them yet. Ingestion into BigQuery works, so you are not starting from zero. What is missing is everything downstream: a canonical structure, one definition per metric, query cost under control, and a self-serve layer so Finance, Growth and Ops stop routing every question through one person.
One thing worth saying up front: our AI tooling already queries the warehouse directly, and the cost of it is not under control yet. Guardrails, schema curation and the authorisation layer are part of the job from week one.
What you will own
• A documented semantic layer: canonical entities, Bronze / Silver / Gold, one definition per KPI
• Self-serve for Ops, Growth, Finance and AMs, with row- and column-level security
• Event taxonomy and tracking, client and server-side, GDPR by design, attribution we can trust
• Platform standards: tested transformations, freshness and failure SLAs, sane ingestion, cost control
What we are looking for
• 7+ years in Data / Analytics / Platform Engineering, Staff or Lead exposure
• BigQuery or Snowflake, dbt, advanced SQL and modeling, Python, Airflow / Dagster / Prefect
• You have shipped production event tracking end to end, taxonomy included
• You have owned a semantic layer and arbitrated metric definitions with Finance and Growth
• You treat AI agents as first-class data consumers (MCPs, semantic APIs, text-to-SQL with guardrails)
• English and French fluency
