Role Description The Prompt Engineer will design, test, and refine prompts for AI language models to support MDA’s consulting, communication, and green energy initiatives. This full-time, on-site role in Pristina involves collaborating with consultants, technical experts, and communication teams to translate business and technical requirements into effective AI-assisted workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing use cases, creating prompt libraries, optimizing prompts for accuracy and reliability, documenting best practices, and monitoring AI outputs for quality and compliance. The role also includes working with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, preparing clear guidelines and training materials, and continuously improving prompt strategies based on performance metrics and user feedback.
Qualifications
- Ability to design and optimize prompts for AI language models, including structuring instructions, constraints, and examples to achieve reliable outputs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience interpreting complex business, technical, or policy requirements into clear specifications.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to create concise, precise, and context-aware content in en_US for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with AI tools, machine learning concepts, or large language models, and comfort working in technology-enabled environments.
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams, preferably with consultants, engineers, or public-sector professionals.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance, including reviewing AI outputs for accuracy, bias, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Communications, Public Policy, or related discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Pristina and communicate effectively in English; knowledge of local languages in the Western Balkans is an advantage.
- Interest or experience in sectors such as renewable energy, infrastructure, public service delivery, or private sector development is considered beneficial.
