- Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and improve operational procedures, including Change Management processes, SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs for regional colocation data centers.
- Provide technical leadership for day-to-day facility operations and emergency response.
- Manage colocation vendors and service providers to ensure SLA and contractual compliance.
- Support project teams during design, construction, commissioning, and operational handover of new data center projects.
- Review and improve change management scripts and procedures for operational activities.
- Support engineering studies, site audits, startup testing, and commissioning activities as required.
- Participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures or power events.
- Oversee vendor and contractor work on site to ensure quality, safety, and operational standards are met.
- Travel to data center sites as needed and provide on-site support during critical incidents or emergencies.
- Identify and support energy efficiency improvements across facility operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in large-scale data center facility operations, with team leadership or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of data center electrical, mechanical, fire protection, and control systems.
- Experience in vendor management, incident response, change management, and mission-critical facility operations.
- Understanding of data center design, construction, commissioning, and operational handover processes.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (25%–50%+ at times).
- Mandarin Chinese is highly preferred, as the role will require coordination with HQ in China.
