We are seeking a qualified and experienced Independent Tree Specialist to join our project team.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor tree health, assess risk, and enforce tree protection zones (TPZs) in compliance with local regulations and project specifications;
Draft, review, and finalize Arboricultural Method Statements (AMS), Tree Protection Plans (TPP), Tree Survey Reports, and mitigation proposals;
Serve as the primary point of contact for arboricultural matters among subcontractors, client representatives, landscape consultants, and relevant government authorities;
Identify potential tree hazards or construction impacts early, advising the site management team on corrective measures and best practices.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or above in Arboriculture, Botany, Forestry, Horticulture, Landscape Management, Landscape Science, Plant Science, or equivalent discipline;
Minimum of 3 years post-qualification working experience in arboriculture or urban forestry with experience on construction is an advantage;
Certified Arborist (e.g., ISA Certified Arborist, HKIA, or equivalent) is preferred;
Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CAD or GIS software is a plus;
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
Effective communication skills, sound problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently on active construction sites.
