Overview
We are looking for a proactive, technically skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to support the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, reliable, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical equipment to ensure peak performance.
- Diagnose and repair issues involving electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and structural components using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation and improve building system efficiency.
- Perform welding and residential‑grade painting for repairs, restorations, and aesthetic improvements throughout the property.
- Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), generating reports for management review.
- Oversee and coordinate contractors or team members during complex repairs or renovation projects, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and operational standards.
- Assist with long‑term facilities planning, including inventory control of tools, parts, and materials required for ongoing maintenance operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in facilities maintenance within hotel, residential, or commercial environments.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair, including reading schematics and using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Practical experience with welding techniques and residential painting.
- Working knowledge of PLCs and automation control systems.
- Ability to interpret and apply technical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to respond to guest and staff concerns promptly and professionally.
- Experience supervising maintenance teams or coordinating contractors to ensure efficient project execution.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms for work order management and documentation.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple priorities while upholding safety standards.
- Fluency in English to ensure clear communication across diverse teams.
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
