Responsibilities
- Safely operate a vehicle to pick up students from school or designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Assist children during boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety at all times
- Maintain clear communication with school staff, parents, and colleagues regarding student pick-up schedules and any delays or issues
- Provide friendly customer service by addressing questions or concerns from parents and guardians with professionalism and courtesy
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary safety features before each shift
- Follow all transportation policies, including proper documentation of routes and student attendance records
- Support students with special needs or additional care requirements, including senior care if applicable
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or in a caregiving role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicles to assist with basic troubleshooting or maintenance needs
- Multilingual abilities are highly valued; fluency in Spanish, English, or other languages enhances communication with diverse communities
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, school staff, and team members
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are encouraged to apply
