SOW Enterprises, a contracted service provider for FedEx Ground, is hiring dependable delivery drivers for our Lindale, TX operation. We are looking for people who are comfortable working independently, staying active throughout the day, and providing reliable service to customers on an assigned delivery route.
Drivers are responsible for safely operating a company-provided delivery vehicle, organizing and delivering packages, completing required scans, and following company and safety procedures throughout the day.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering packages safely and efficiently along an assigned route
- Loading and organizing packages before leaving the terminal
- Using a scanner to complete deliveries and pickups
- Completing daily vehicle inspections
- Following safe-driving practices at all times
- Handling packages weighing up to approximately 80–150 lbs, with assistance or a dolly when needed
- Communicating with management when route or delivery issues arise
- Maintaining dependable attendance and arriving on time for scheduled shifts
- Providing professional and courteous service to customers
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license required
- Clean and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Must be able to pass required background screening and drug testing
- Comfortable driving larger delivery vehicles
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physically able to enter and exit the vehicle repeatedly throughout the day
- Previous delivery or professional driving experience is preferred
- At least 1 year of verifiable driving experience within the past 3 years is preferred
- CDL is not required
Schedule & Pay:
- Full-time Monday–Friday positions available
- Part-time weekend opportunities may also be available
- Typical start time around 7:15 AM
- Approximately 6-8 + hour shifts depending on route and package volume
- Paid training
- Daily pay generally ranges from $160–$180 once running independently
