Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-precision components. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely while adhering to strict quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other automated equipment to produce parts according to technical drawings and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents accurately to ensure correct machining processes
- Set up CNC equipment using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming tools to prepare for production runs
- Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting industrial equipment issues, and making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal operation
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to verify dimensional accuracy of machined parts
- Follow safety standards in production environments including proper use of tooling, materials handling procedures, and shop math calculations
- Document production activities accurately and maintain quality control throughout the manufacturing process
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar industrial equipment in a manufacturing or factory setting
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and technical drawing analysis
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls or other CNC programming systems; experience with CAM programming is highly desirable
- Knowledge of shop math including basic calculations required for machining tolerances and measurements
- Experience with tooling setup, materials handling, packaging, assembly line processes, and warehouse operations preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues on CNC equipment efficiently and safely
- Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience demonstrating adherence to safety standards and quality protocols
