Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy operations with enthusiasm and precision. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the pharmacy team, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient service.
- Oversee medication dispensing, compounding medications, and IV infusion procedures while maintaining aseptic techniques and USP 797 standards.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws, drug regulation policies, and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Conduct patient assessments, provide medication counseling, immunizations, and support pain management initiatives across diverse settings including community, LTC (Long-Term Care), and hospital environments.
- Manage pharmacy operations including inventory control, drug procurement, medication storage, and adherence to pharmaceutical regulatory compliance.
- Utilize Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to document patient care activities accurately.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology to support clinical decision-making and medical management.
- Ensure staff are trained in drug regulation updates, clinical confidentiality policies, aseptic techniques, and pharmacy software systems to uphold safety standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices in patient care, client communication, and healthcare compliance.
Qualifications
- Valid pharmacist license with practicing experience as a licensed pharmacist.
- Demonstrated success managing pharmacy teams in fast-paced environments with strong leadership skills.
- Extensive knowledge of pharmacy operations including inventory management, medication administration protocols, and drug regulation laws.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA, clinical confidentiality policies, and pharmacy regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, immunizations, pain management practices, and acute care procedures.
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence; ability to educate patients on medication use effectively.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in immunizations or advanced medical management are desirable.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
