Sky Infusions & MedSpa is a growing wellness and aesthetic practice focused on helping clients look and feel their best through personalized aesthetic, skincare, wellness, and non-surgical services.
We are seeking a licensed, motivated, personable, and detail-oriented Esthetician who is passionate about skincare and providing an exceptional client experience.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Esthetician will provide professional skincare and aesthetic services within the employee's legal scope of practice, training, and clinic-approved services.
The Esthetician will be responsible for client consultations, treatment preparation, performing approved services, educating clients on skincare and aftercare, maintaining treatment areas, documenting services, recommending appropriate home-care products, encouraging appropriate rebooking, discussing membership benefits, and contributing to a welcoming and professional client experience.
The ideal candidate understands that successful esthetics is not simply about performing a treatment—it is about building trust, educating clients, delivering consistent results, and creating an experience that makes clients want to return.
REQUIREMENTSRequired
- Current Maryland esthetician/cosmetology license applicable to the position.
- Ability to legally perform assigned services within Maryland's scope-of-practice requirements.
- Strong understanding of skincare, sanitation, and client safety.

- 6 months–2 years of professional esthetics experience.
- Medspa experience.
- Experience with facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, skincare treatments, or other applicable aesthetic services.
- Experience performing consultations.
- Knowledge of professional skincare products.
- Experience with client retention and rebooking.
- Experience with retail skincare sales.
- Social media/content experience.
- Experience working with diverse skin types and concerns.
RESPONSIBILITIES1. Client Consultations
- Conduct professional skincare consultations.
- Identify client concerns, goals, and expectations.
- Review relevant skincare history and contraindications.
- Determine whether the client is appropriate for the requested service within the employee's scope.
- Recommend appropriate services based on client needs.
- Refer clients to the appropriate medical provider when concerns fall outside the esthetician's scope.
- Set realistic expectations regarding treatment outcomes.
2. Skincare & Esthetic Services
Perform clinic-approved services that are within the employee's legal scope, training, and demonstrated competency.
Potential services may include:
- Customized facials
- Advanced facials where permitted
- Chemical peels within applicable scope and clinic protocols
- Microdermabrasion
- Skin rejuvenation treatments
- Other approved skincare services offered by Sky Infusions & MedSpa
Any procedure outside the esthetician's legal scope or individual competency must not be performed.
3. Client Education
- Educate clients regarding treatment expectations.
- Provide appropriate pre- and post-treatment instructions.
- Explain skincare routines and product use.
- Educate clients regarding sun protection and general skin health.
- Explain recommended treatment frequency.
- Encourage clients to follow their individualized skincare plan.
- Explain the benefits, terms, and appropriate use of Sky Infusions & MedSpa memberships when relevant to the client's goals.
4. Client Experience
- Welcome every client warmly.
- Maintain a calm, professional, clean, and relaxing treatment environment.
- Listen carefully to client concerns.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
- Respond to questions respectfully.
- Address concerns promptly and notify management when escalation is required.
- Create an experience that reflects the Sky Infusions & MedSpa brand.
5. Retail & Treatment Recommendations
- Educate clients about appropriate professional skincare products.
- Recommend products based on actual client needs.
- Explain proper product use.
- Maintain product knowledge.
- Support retail sales through education rather than pressure.
- Recommend future treatments when clinically/aesthetically appropriate.
- Explain membership options when they may provide meaningful value to the client.
6. Rebooking, Memberships & Client Retention
- Discuss appropriate treatment intervals with clients.
- Encourage clients to schedule their next appointment before leaving when appropriate.
- Follow up with clients according to clinic procedures.
- Build long-term relationships with clients.
- Help identify opportunities for treatment plans and memberships that genuinely benefit the client.
- Inform appropriate clients about the Sky Infusions & MedSpa membership program.
- Work toward approximately five membership sales per month through consistent education, follow-up, and ethical recommendations.
7. Documentation
- Complete client treatment documentation accurately.
- Record services performed, products used, treatment areas, client response, and relevant observations.
- Document adverse reactions or concerns.
- Document relevant membership discussions, referrals, or conversions according to clinic procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality.
8. Treatment Room & Clinic Standards
- Prepare treatment rooms before each client.
- Properly clean and disinfect treatment areas and equipment.
- Follow all sanitation and infection-control requirements.
- Maintain organized supplies.
- Report damaged or missing equipment.
- Monitor product and supply inventory.
- Complete opening and closing responsibilities as assigned.
9. Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with the RN, Nurse Practitioner, owner, and other staff.
- Refer medical or clinical concerns appropriately.
- Communicate client concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Participate in staff meetings and training.
- Support clinic promotions and events.
- Assist with maintaining a positive workplace culture.

The Esthetician is expected to provide a consistent client experience regardless of the client's treatment, age, skin type, background, or spending level.
Sales Expectations
The Esthetician is expected to contribute to the financial health of the business through:
- Ethical treatment recommendations.
- Rebooking.
- Appropriate product recommendations.
- Membership education and sales.
- Treatment-plan education.
- Referrals.
The Esthetician should consistently inform appropriate clients about the membership program and work toward approximately five membership sales per month.
However, client trust and appropriate treatment recommendations must always come before sales.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
The following three primary KPI areas will be used to evaluate performance. Specific targets may be adjusted based on clinic volume, experience level, and business needs.
1. Client Experience & Clinical Quality
Track:
- Client satisfaction, reviews, and feedback.
- Treatment quality, safety, and adherence to approved protocols.
- Accurate documentation, sanitation, and infection-control compliance.
2. Rebooking & Client Retention
Track:
- Percentage of clients who schedule their next appointment.
- Percentage of clients returning for recommended treatments.
- Follow-up completion and development of a returning client base.
3. Revenue, Retail & Membership Sales
Track:
- Monthly service and appropriate retail revenue.
- Product and treatment recommendations based on client needs.
- Membership education and conversions, with a goal of approximately five membership sales per month.
The Esthetician is expected to consistently tell appropriate clients about the membership program, explain its benefits and terms accurately, and support membership sales through ethical education rather than pressure.
