About the Role
- ShelfWatch is a retail shelf monitoring and execution platform used by global CPG and FMCG brands across 50+ markets.
- Clients have different requirements, terminology, store formats, and internal metrics.
- Own the solution by understanding what the product already does and determining whether a client requirement is:
- A configuration
- A roadmap item
- Something that should be approached differently
- Work alongside a Project Manager on each account:
- Project Manager owns the plan, timeline, and commercials.
- Solution Consultant owns the solution, configuration, and delivery outcome.
- Client-facing role involving weekly/monthly calls, demos, and direct client queries.
What You'll Do
- Translate client requirements into ShelfWatch capabilities.
- Map client requirements to existing product functionality.
- Define configurations and acceptance criteria.
- Own solution design across the account lifecycle, from scoping to go-live and steady state.
- Run client calls, including:
- Solution walkthroughs
- Demos
- Scope discussions
- Queries and concerns
- Push back where required and guide clients toward standard product capabilities instead of bespoke workarounds.
- Clearly communicate when something is not technically feasible.
- Diagnose and route escalations to the appropriate internal team.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to provide insights on real client requirements.
- Build internal reference material for the specialization.
What You Won't Do
- You will not write client-specific production code.
- The role focuses on configuring and leveraging the existing product rather than building bespoke solutions.
- If writing production code is the primary part of the work you enjoy, this role may not be the right fit.
What We're Looking ForRequired
- 2+ years of experience in a client-facing implementation, functional consulting, or post-sales solutions role with enterprise customers.
- Hands-on experience configuring a productized platform such as:
- SAP
- Salesforce
- ServiceNow
- Workday
- Icertis
- StayinFront
- Zoho
- Freshworks
- Similar platforms
- Experience mapping client requirements to existing product capabilities.
- Ability to independently run client calls, including:
- Demos
- Scope discussions
- Escalations
Technical Literacy — Not Engineering
- Comfortable reading JSON, logs, and API documentation.
- Ability to write SQL or use an equivalent method to pull and sanity-check data.
- Uses AI tools to investigate problems before escalating them.
- Ability to communicate technical feasibility or limitations to clients during live calls.
Nice to Have
- Background in retail execution, FMCG/CPG, or field-force software.
- Experience working across multiple countries or regions.
- Experience working with an India-based delivery team serving global clients.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
