Libra, part of Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory, is building the next generation AI-native workspace for legal professionals. As we scale our business, we are seeking a Strategy & Business Development Director (m/f/d) to shape Libra's growth strategy and lead key strategic initiatives.

As the Strategy & Business Development Director (m/f/d), you will be responsible for designing Libra’s growth strategy in alignment with the Legal & Regulatory strategy, and defining a clear path for growth execution. Acting as a strategic integrator across countries and functions, the Director partners with Product, Technology, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations to maximize customer value, accelerate revenue growth and drive market adoption.

Combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution, the successful candidate will develop long-term growth strategies, prepare Executive Steering Committees, lead pricing and packaging initiatives, drive annual planning processes, and support executive decision-making.

This role is ideal for an experienced strategy leader with a consulting and/or technology background who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and brings strong expertise in AI, SaaS, commercial strategy, budgeting and business planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development & Growth

Partner with the Libra leadership team to define strategy and roadmap.

-

Lead strategic initiatives supporting AI product expansion, market penetration, and revenue growth. Evaluate new growth opportunities including new geographies; new customer segments; Strategic partnerships; Build / Buy / Partner decisions.

Translate corporate objectives into actionable business plans and measurable outcomes.

-

Structure and lead strategic and competitive analyses to support executive decision-making.

-

Lead strategic alignment across country organizations, ensuring local content assets and expertise are effectively leveraged within the Libra AI Workspace.

Influence and align country managers, product leaders and functional stakeholders without direct reporting authority.

-

Establish governance models for Libra’s prioritization, commercialization and market rollout.

AI & Innovation Strategy

-

Act as a strategic partner to Product and Technology leadership regarding product portfolio evolution; emerging GenAI opportunities; competitive positioning. In alignment with Libra product and divisional product leadership.

-

Monitor AI LegalTech market developments and collect insights in a structured manner to drive strategy and to be available for Libra teams and LR business units.

-

Build business cases for AI investments and innovation initiatives.

-

Support prioritization of product investments based on customer value, commercial impact and strategic fit.

Pricing, Packaging & Monetization

-

Own strategic pricing and packaging initiatives across Libra.

-

Conduct willingness-to-pay analyses, value-pricing assessments and competitive benchmark studies.

-

Define subscription structures, enterprise packages and usage-based commercial models.

-

Partner with Commercial, Product and Finance teams to optimize revenue growth and customer lifetime value.

Measure pricing effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Strategic Planning & Business Performance

-

Lead annual strategic planning processes in conjunction with Finance (revenue planning, investment planning, resource prioritization) within Libra and in alignment with BUs.

-

Coordinate Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and strategic updates.

-

Develop multi-year growth plans and financial outlooks in alignment with Finance.

-

Support budgeting processes and long-range planning.

-

Drive KPI development and performance tracking.

-

Build executive dashboards and business performance reporting.

Steering Committee & Executive Readiness

Own the preparation and management of Libra Steering Committees for the alignment with business units across the Legal & Regulatory business unit.

Responsibilities include:

-

Defining meeting objectives and agendas.

-

Coordinating inputs from Product, Commercial, Technology and Finance teams.

-

Synthesizing complex information into concise executive recommendations and developing executive-level presentations materials.

-

Managing follow-up actions and decision tracking.

Education:

-

Bachelor's degree required.

-

MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred.

Experience:

-

8 to 12+ years of experience in corporate strategy and business development.

-

Experience at a leading strategy consulting firm preferred.

-

Experience within SaaS, B2B software, LegalTech, AI, Information Services or Technology industries in high-growth environments.

-

Track record of driving growth strategies, building executive business cases, market analysis, partnership establishment, M&A and post-merger integration, strategic planning, pricing & packaging.

-

Exceptional structured problem-analysis and solving; ability to move from ambiguity to recommendation. Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills. Data-driven decision making.

-

Strong commercial judgement and understanding of AI-driven business models and platform economics.

-

Deep understanding of AI trends, GenAI business models, AI transformation.

-

Outstanding executive communication skills. Ability to create board-ready presentations, strong storytelling and influencing capabilities.

-

Excellent stakeholder management across multiple functions and business units. Proven experience operating within complex global matrix organizations.

Cultural fit with operating in a scale-up environment operating within a global enterprise: entrepreneurial and hands-on; comfortable operating with imperfect information; fast-moving and action-oriented; intellectually curious; highly collaborative; resilient and adaptable; excited by building rather than maintaining.
