What you'll be doing;

- Craft persuasive, compelling proposals for high-value tenders that showcase Veolia's unique solutions, value, and competitive differentiation

- Manage multiple high-value proposals simultaneously, juggling competing priorities and deadlines whilst ensuring each submission maintains the highest quality standards and is delivered on time

- Collaborate with subject matter experts, business development, technical and operations teams to gather insights and translate complex information into customer-focused content

- Co-develop winning strategies, win themes, and value propositions for each opportunity, ensuring proposals directly address customer requirements

- Ensure all content is well-structured, evidence-based, coherent, and error-free through thorough reviews and revisions

- Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines whilst maintaining the highest quality standards

- Mentor and develop writers within the team, providing constructive feedback and targeted guidance to improve their skills and confidence

- Establish and maintain formal quality standards and evaluation criteria to ensure consistency across all proposals

- Conduct regular reviews of team output, identify improvement opportunities, and develop individualised training plans

- Build and maintain our bid library with compelling case studies, proof points, and reference materials

- Attend client debrief sessions and apply customer feedback to continuously improve win rates and proposal effectiveness

What we're looking for;

- Proven bid writing experience on tenders valued over £5m, specifically technical submissions within the energy sector

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-value bids simultaneously, prioritising workload effectively whilst maintaining quality and meeting tight deadlines across all projects

- Expert-level writing skills with the ability to adapt style and tone to different audiences and customer requirements

- Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading capabilities with advanced knowledge of proposal writing best practices

- Strong research and analytical abilities to synthesise information from multiple sources into clear, logical content

- Expert project management and deadline management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- Advanced coaching and mentoring experience with strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence

- Ability to provide constructive, supportive feedback that develops team capability and builds confidence

- Proficiency in Google suite packages and project management software

- English degree or related qualification plus professional writing background

- Strategic thinking and advanced business acumen with excellent stakeholder management skills

- CIM or APMP membership and project management qualifications (desirable)
