The Automotive Service Advisor (Workshop & Fleet) acts as the vital liaison between vehicle operators, corporate fleet managers, and the workshop technical team. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end service and repair lifecycle of both retail passenger vehicles and commercial fleet assets. The ideal candidate balances exceptional customer relationship management with sharp operational execution—ensuring vehicles are accurately diagnosed, repaired efficiently, and returned to the road with minimal downtime. By effectively scheduling workshop loads, coordinating with parts departments, and maintaining clear lines of communication, the Service Advisor plays a critical role in maximizing workshop productivity, controlling fleet operational costs, and driving customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilites:
- Ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the workshop, covering both customer and fleet vehicles.
- Attend to customers' and fleet operators' enquiries and requests for vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs, and provide appropriate recommendations and quotations.
- Create and manage job cards, convert completed job cards into invoices, and handle payment collection where applicable.
- Handle and respond to emails promptly and professionally, including customer enquiries, fleet-related matters and internal communications.
- Coordinate fleet vehicle bookings, servicing, repairs and workshop schedules, ensuring vehicles are attended to according to operational requirements.
- Assign jobs to the technical team and monitor the progress and status of servicing and repair work.
- Liaise closely with technicians and storekeepers on diagnosis, parts requirements and parts ordering to ensure necessary parts are available when required.
- Follow up on outstanding repairs, pending parts and other vehicle-related matters, and provide timely updates to customers or fleet operators.
- Communicate repair progress, additional work required, estimated completion time and any delays clearly and promptly.
- Conduct test drives, where required, after completion of repairs to verify that reported concerns have been addressed before vehicle handover.
- Ensure completed vehicles are properly handed over an explain repairs carried out, recommendations and any outstanding matters where applicable.
- Ensure job cards, repair records and relevant documentation are accurately completed an closed.
- Coordinate with internal departments and fleet partners on vehicle-related operational matters when required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,000.00 per month
Education:
- Lower Secondary Qualification (Preferred)
Experience:
- automotive service: 3 years (Required)
- Communication skills: 3 years (Preferred)
- Computer literacy: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Class 3 Driving Licence (Required)
- Good Communication Skills (Required)
