Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Collections Administrator to join our dynamic finance team. Duties

- Manage and oversee collections accounts, ensuring accurate tracking and follow-up on overdue payments

- Contact clients via phone, email, or written correspondence to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve outstanding debts

- Analyze accounts receivable data using Excel and other financial software to identify delinquent accounts and prioritize collection efforts

- Maintain detailed records of all client communications, payment agreements, and account statuses in compliance with confidentiality policies

- Ensure adherence to consumer protection laws and financial regulations during all collection activities

- Collaborate with accounts payable and accounting teams to reconcile discrepancies and process payments efficiently

- Conduct account analysis to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for process improvements in revenue cycle management

Requirements

- Proven experience in medical collections, accounts receivable management, or related finance roles with a focus on debt collection negotiation

- Strong understanding of consumer protection laws, financial regulatory compliance, and industry-specific regulations governing collections

- Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally and confidently

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting; familiarity with accounting software and financial software is preferred

- Solid knowledge of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, CPT coding (if applicable), and revenue cycle management processes

- Exceptional negotiation skills combined with effective client communication techniques to secure payment agreements while maintaining customer satisfaction

- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and adhere strictly to compliance standards

- Strong math skills for account analysis, typing accuracy for documentation, and understanding of financial concepts related to accounts receivable and payable
