Hours of Work: 2:00pm - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, 20 hrs per week 4 hrs per day

Compensation:

- Base Wage: $18.00 - $19.00/hour

- Applicable Alberta ECE Wage Top-Up

About the Role

This is a unique hybrid role supporting 1:1 child support and front-office operations, with opportunities for additional hours through casual ECE coverage based on program needs.

When providing 1:1 support, the educator promotes child safety, inclusion, engagement, regulation, and successful transitions while following established support expectations.

When supporting front-office operations, the educator assists with administration, family communication, tours, and daily operations while demonstrating strong professional practice and supporting educators.

When providing casual ECE coverage, the educator supports classroom supervision, routines, transitions, child engagement, and program continuity as staffing needs arise.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide safe, responsive, and consistent individualized child support.

- Promote inclusion, participation, regulation, and successful transitions.

- Maintain efficient and professional front-office operations.

- Create a welcoming experience for families and prospective families.

- Ensure timely communication and escalation to the Assistant Director.

- Support tours, enrolment inquiries, and administrative processes.

- Maintain accurate and organized program and operational records.

- Provide responsive ECE coverage based on program needs.

- Mentor educators and model strong professional practice.

- Support consistent quality, safety, and professional standards.

- Other duties as required.

Qualifications

- Alberta ECE Level 2 or Level 3 Certification

- Valid First Aid & CPR

- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search

- Child Intervention Record Check

- Alberta Class 5 Driver’s Licence with willingness to obtain Class 4

- Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills

- Strong interpersonal and family-service skills

- Comfortable using digital systems and standard office applications

- Experience and/or training in Montessori and FLIGHT preferred

Experience

- Experience working in a licensed childcare or educational setting

- Experience supporting children with additional or individualized needs

- Experience supporting or mentoring other educators

- Administrative, reception, or operations experience considered an asset

- Experience communicating professionally with families

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

- Do you currently hold a valid Alberta Class 5 (Non-GDL) Driver’s Licence, and are you willing to obtain a Class 4 licence?

- Are you comfortable working variable part-time hours and providing additional casual coverage when available?
