Duties
- Assist with the preparation and display of aquatic fish and plants, ensuring all items are handled with care.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems, including Micros POS, to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers by answering questions about products and offering recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including counters, display cases, and storage spaces, adhering to strict sanitation protocols
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy and integrity during cashiering duties
- Support inventory management by restocking displays, checking product freshness, and rotating stock as needed
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
Experience
- Experience using POS systems such as Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling, pricing, and transaction accuracy
- Previous pet industry experience will help you excel in this fast-paced role
