Responsibilities
- Engage with customers both inside the store and through outside sales efforts to understand their renovation, remodeling, and construction needs.
- Demonstrate product features through engaging product demos, including lighting fixtures, fixtures, and design materials.
- Assist clients with layout design using tools like SketchUp or CAD to visualize their projects effectively.
- Build strong customer relationships by providing personalized service, upselling complementary products, and closing high-end sales.
- Manage customer inquiries via CRM systems and POS terminals efficiently while maintaining accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Collaborate with the team to merchandise products effectively and ensure stock levels meet customer demand.
- Support maintenance of showroom displays and assist in remodeling or fixture sales to enhance the shopping experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in inside sales, retail sales, or construction sales with a focus on lighting, remodeling, or interior design.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication abilities in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
- Technical proficiency with tools such as SketchUp, CAD, Microsoft Office suite, CRM systems, and POS systems.
- Knowledge of lighting design, layout design, merchandising, and basic math for accurate quoting and deal closing.
- Construction experience or familiarity with renovation processes enhances your ability to advise clients effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client interactions simultaneously.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a passion for client communication and relationship building.
