We are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Estimation Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for sheet metal fabrication and related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
- Prepare detailed material and fabrication cost estimates.
- Calculate quantities for sheet metal, profiles, accessories, hardware, and other required materials.
- Prepare accurate quotations based on project drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain material and subcontractor prices.
- Analyze fabrication, cutting, bending, welding, finishing, and installation costs.
- Review tender documents and identify technical and commercial requirements.
- Coordinate with the production, procurement, sales, and project teams.
- Follow up on submitted quotations and provide clarification when required.
- Maintain records of quotations, material costs, and supplier prices.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining required quality and specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication estimation, preferably in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and materials.
- Ability to read and understand engineering/shop drawings.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in preparing BOQs, material take-offs, and detailed quotations.
- Knowledge of UAE suppliers, material prices, and fabrication costs is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet quotation deadlines.
Preferred Experience
Experience in steel fabrication, stainless steel, aluminum, architectural metal works, doors, façade, pergolas, or customized metal fabrication will be an advantage.
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
