Work you’ll do

Design and deliver decision-ready research and insights across topics including growth strategies, competition, innovation, industry disruptions – using secondary research tools, techniques, and databases.

Author actionable insights and recommendations using strong business writing, storyboarding and visualization skills, with an acute focus on “so-what” for Deloitte's clients and businesses.

Scope research requests — comprehend stakeholders’ insights requirements, assess feasibility, estimate timelines, and present bespoke research solutions to internal stakeholders across Deloitte's global network.

Lead project delivery end-to-end: develop research plans, manage timelines, maintain quality standards, consolidate and review findings from junior team members.

Review and provide feedback on team outputs against Deloitte's brand and quality benchmarks, taking ownership of final deliverable quality.

Engage directly with Deloitte practitioners and leadership across global offices to drive consultative conversations and manage expectations and priorities.

Mentor and train junior analysts and contribute to team initiatives.

Core Skills Required:

Secondary Research Expertise: Possess extensive knowledge of secondary research databases, public/industry-specific sources, and research methodologies to efficiently source and validate relevant information.

Financial Analysis: Experience reading financial statements, interpreting key ratios, and contextualizing company/industry performance data.

Compelling Presentation: Ability to translate complex research findings into visually compelling, executive-ready presentations by content as a logical narrative, supported by well-designed charts, infographics, and data visualizations.

Industry Knowledge: expertise in at least one industry with an understanding of its key performance indicators (KPIs), macroeconomic factors, industry dynamics, operating structures, business models, value chains, regulations, and key trends.

Strong Business Writing Skills: Ability to communicate complex research ideas compellingly and succinctly through exceptional business writing and storyboarding.

Exceptional Verbal Communication: Ability to articulate ideas confidently in client calls with senior Deloitte leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognized university.

Minimum 2 years of experience in business research in client service or internal setup.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Solid research skills and familiarity with various research databases (Refinitiv, Capital IQ, Factiva, etc.).

Experience working in a global or multi-geography stakeholder environment is an added advantage.

Exposure to Gen AI tools and hands-on experience working on prompt engineering is an advantage.
