Driver/Warehouse Associate- Ave Maria, FL.
Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively searching for a Driver/Warehouse Associate at the Ave Maria, FL. Location. The Driver/Warehouse Associate is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods between our local company facilities, located in Collier and Lee counties while serving as a key liaison across locations within the geographic area. This role ensures company vehicles are properly maintained, complies with DOT and traffic regulations, and supports warehouse shipping and receiving operations as needed. The position also coordinates package deliveries, communicates shipment arrivals, and provides flexible support to meet business and operational needs. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED and a clean driving record for the past two years. The work schedule is 12:00 PM-8:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver goods between locations in a timely fashion based on an established schedule.
- Ensure that the vehicle is mechanically sound and that all required preventative and scheduled maintenance has been performed.
- Obey traffic regulations, use defensive driving skills and drive with seatbelts fastened.
- Inspect vehicle for damage and ensure that all equipment is in working order.
- Be familiar with DOT rules and regulations.
- Help out with warehouse tasks as needed.
- Requires flexibility in working hours to meet business needs.
- Communicate via email when packages arrive for personnel at respective location/facility.
- Deliver packages to appropriate personnel.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 1 year experience preferred
- Experience operating tractor trailers preferred
- Experience operating forklift required
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
- Class A - CDL preferred
- Clean driving record (no moving violations) for past two (2) years required
- Good customer service and communication skills required.
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Must have the ability to safely operate multiple company vehicles
- Fork lift certification required
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Ability to drive a passenger vehicle.
Language and Communication Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
