Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Pharmacy Informatics Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and updating the Meditech dictionaries and functionalities related to medication ordering, dispensing and administration. This role is also involved in the implementation of new Meditech functionality, working closely with both corporate and division personnel in the evaluation and design process.
What you will do in this role:
- You will coordinate with corporate, division, and other HCA facilities in the design and update of Meditech Dictionaries relating to pharmacy, CPOE, ePOM and eMAR setup.
- You will analyze development or change requests for feasibility, functionality and impact on the database.
- You will design and develop system documentation tools

You will be responsible for documenting all changes and dictionary builds with specific instructions for replication; disseminating information regarding changes to the system to the appropriate end-users
- You will monitor system for issues and, as Identifies issues, investigates system issues to complete resolution, identify root-cause and report issues to the appropriate source with adequate follow up.
- You will be responsible for providing education to the pharmacy staff, physicians and other healthcare providers on Meditech system changes and functions.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree is required
- 3+ years clinical experience is required
- Experience with state and federal and regulatory requirements is preferred

Advanced computer skills, proficient in the use of graphic programs, word processing, spreadsheet manipulation and pharmacy information systems is required

Applicable state pharmacist license Required
