Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sales / Shop Manager to lead our retail operations with enthusiasm and strategic insight. Duties
- Lead and supervise the retail sales team, providing coaching, training, and development to enhance performance and customer engagement
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential and maintain attractive product displays
- Oversee daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS system management, and bookkeeping tasks
- Implement effective pricing strategies and promotional activities to boost sales and meet revenue targets
- Conduct employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and manage payroll processes to ensure a skilled and motivated team
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring a welcoming shopping experience
- Monitor sales metrics, manage budgets, and develop operational plans to optimize store productivity and profitability
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail sales or store management roles with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, inventory management, POS systems, and merchandising practices
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory control
- Ability to lead teams effectively with supervisory experience in retail or grocery environments; experience with shift management is preferred
- Proficiency in basic math for cash handling, pricing calculations, budgeting, and retail math applications
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with retail store product knowledge and operational management practices including stocking and merchandising
- Strong leadership qualities with a focus on training & development, team motivation, and managerial communication skills
- Experience with cashiering systems (POS), operational management tools, and inventory software is advantageous
