We are seeking a Senior IBM i Administrator & Power Systems Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Poland.

In this role you will provide technical leadership and advanced support for IBM Power environments, ensuring platform stability, security, performance, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do:

-
managing IBM Power Systems infrastructure , including Power servers, HMC, VIOS, LPARs, and PowerVM virtualization.

-
planning and executing IBM i operating system upgrades, PTF maintenance, security updates, and lifecycle activities.

-
leading infrastructure modernization, migrations, hardware refreshes, and platform upgrades.

-
performing root cause analysis for incidents and driving permanent resolution of recurring issues.

-
designing and implementing disaster recovery, backup, and high availability solutions, including PowerHA and replication technologies.

-
owning IBM Power and IBM i configuration for SAN-connected environments and coordinating zoning, masking, mapping, and storage allocation with SAN and storage teams.

-
supporting security compliance activities, audits, access management, certificate administration, and security hardening initiatives.

-
defining monitoring strategies, improving operational tooling, and driving automation across the IBM i environment.

-
planning capacity, performance optimization, and resource utilization for business-critical systems.

-
Supporting enterprise backup and recovery solutions, including BRMS, tape, VTL, and DataDomain technologies.

-
supporting software entitlement and license-key readiness for hardware migrations and platform lifecycle activities.

Who You Are

Required Skills and Experience

-
strong experience administering IBM i (AS/400, iSeries) environments in medium to large enterprise organizations.

-
solid knowledge of IBM Power Systems architecture and infrastructure.

-
hands-on experience with HMC administration, VIOS management, and PowerVM virtualization .

-
experience planning and executing IBM i OS upgrades and PTF maintenance .

-
planning and executing lifecycle maintenance across IBM Power servers, system firmware, HMC, VIOS, IBM i , and supporting infrastructure.

-
strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across operating system, infrastructure, and storage layers.

-
experience with IPC management processes.

-
knowledge of backup and recovery concepts, BRMS, and disaster recovery practices.

-
experience with SAN-connected IBM Power environments.

-
understanding of IBM i security, user management, system values, auditing, and compliance requirements.

-
experience working with high availability and replication technologies.

-
ability to perform root cause analysis and lead technical investigations.

-
communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and vendors.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

-
experience with PowerHA, MIMIX, iCluster, or other IBM i replication technologies.

-
knowledge of enterprise storage platforms such as Dell EMC, Hitachi, or HP storage solutions.

-
experience with DataDomain, ProtecTIER, LaserVault, VTL, or tape-based backup infrastructures.

-
experience with monitoring platforms and custom monitoring development.

-
knowledge of CL, SQL, RPG, or other IBM i automation technologies.

-
experience building automation scripts and operational tooling.

-
exposure to infrastructure migrations, datacenter relocations, and platform modernization programs.

-
IBM Power Systems and IBM i certifications.
