About the Role
We're hiring a Technical Programme Manager to drive delivery on a fast-moving, deadline-driven government data platform programme. You'll be the connective tissue between engineering, QA, and client stakeholders — and critically, between our team and a large network of departmental points of contact across roughly 65 source departments. This role is for someone who thrives on chasing details to closure, running tight structured reviews, and keeping a complex, multi-stakeholder programme moving without engineering ever getting blocked.
What You'll Do
- Run fast-moving, delivery-focused technical programmes against hard deadlines, coordinating engineering, QA, and client stakeholders in parallel.
- Manage a large network of departmental points of contact (~65 source departments), chasing schema clarifications, data-quality queries, and access requests through to closure so engineering work is never blocked.
- Run structured weekly reviews with government decision-makers, tracking milestones, risks, and dependencies across the programme.
- Drive acceptance testing cycles with department stakeholders, ensuring sign-off criteria are clearly defined and met.
- Maintain rigorous documentation and reporting: status updates, risk logs, decision records, and milestone tracking.
- Escalate blockers proactively and broker resolution between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience running fast-moving, delivery-focused technical programmes with hard deadlines; comfortable coordinating engineering, QA, and client stakeholders in parallel.
- Proven ability to manage a large network of departmental points of contact (~65 source departments): chasing schema clarifications, data-quality queries, and access requests to closure.
- Experience running structured weekly reviews with government decision-makers, tracking milestones, risks, and dependencies, and driving acceptance testing with department stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and reporting discipline — essential for this role.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience on government / public-sector or data-platform projects.
- Familiarity with data-matching, entity-resolution, or large-scale ETL programmes.
- Experience with programme-tracking tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar).
