Assistant Designer, Men's Sleepwear & Underwear
About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Designer to join our Men's Sleepwear & Underwear team. This role supports the design process from initial concept through production handoff, working closely with the Senior Designer and cross-functional partners to help bring seasonal collections to life. This is a strong fit for a designer with 2-3 years of experience who is ready to build deep expertise in underwear and sleepwear.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the Senior Designer in developing seasonal design concepts, colorways, and prints for men's sleepwear and underwear, from trend research through final line adoption.
· Create and maintain tech packs and CAD boards with accurate details
· Prepare CADs, flat sketches, and presentation materials for internal design reviews and cross-functional milestone meetings.
· Maintain and update PLM records throughout the development calendar, ensuring styles, BOMs, and approvals stay current and accurate.
· Manage trim, fabric, and print submissions, keeping libraries organized and up to date.
· Research market and competitive trends in sleepwear, underwear, and loungewear to help create seasonal concept boards.
· Pack/Document, Send, and Track packages to customers and overseas factories
Qualifications
· 2-3 years of experience in apparel design, ideally within sleepwear, underwear, intimate apparel, or a related soft goods category.
· Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
· Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with a PLM system is a plus.
· Strong hand sketching and technical flat drawing skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines across a seasonal calendar.
· Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and overseas factory partners.
· A collaborative, proactive attitude and genuine interest in intimate apparel and sleepwear design trends.
Hybrid work schedule Monday - Thursday in office, Friday is Work From Home
Salary Range $60K - $65k
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
