Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Panel Costing Engineer to join our control panel manufacturing team in Surajpur, Greater Noida. The candidate will be responsible for panel costing, BOM preparation, material estimation, component-wise costing and quotation preparation based on customer requirements and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical control panels based on customer requirements, drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and review Bill of Materials (BOM) for electrical panels.
- Calculate material requirements and component-wise costing.
- Prepare costing sheets and commercial quotations for panel projects.
- Analyse electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD) and technical specifications.
- Estimate the cost of electrical components such as breakers, contactors, relays, meters, busbars, control components, wiring accessories and related items.
- Coordinate with purchase, design, production and sales teams for costing-related requirements.
- Check and compare component prices to ensure accurate and competitive panel costing.
- Maintain updated costing records and estimation sheets.
- Ensure costing and quotations are prepared accurately within the required timelines.
- Support the team in resolving costing and estimation-related queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in Electrical Panel Costing is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in control panel costing and estimation.
- Good knowledge of electrical panels and panel components.
- Strong understanding of BOM preparation and material costing.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and specifications.
- Good analytical and calculation skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and costing/estimation sheets.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates with prior experience in Electrical Control Panel Manufacturing / LT Panels / MCC / PCC / APFC / Control Panels and hands-on exposure to costing, estimation and BOM preparation will be preferred.
