Moonshot Medical is a cash-pay men's and women's health practice in Park Ridge, next door to Moonshot CrossFit. We do testosterone therapy, peptide therapy, GLP-1 weight management, and performance diagnostics. Our patients are active people who want to feel and perform better, and they show up ready to work.
We are adding a per diem injection nurse to run one to two fixed injection days per week, with more days as volume grows. This is an in-person role at the clinic, working under the direction of our nurse practitioner. There is no physician on staff. If you are comfortable practicing under an APRN's standing orders, this is a good fit.
What You'll Do
- Administer IM and subcutaneous injections on standing orders from our APRN, including testosterone and GLP-1 medications
- Teach patients home self-injection technique and confirm competency
- Draw blood and handle specimens for courier pickup when scheduled
- Document each administration and keep the medication log current
- Flag clinical questions or concerns to the APRN the same day
What We're Looking For
- Active Illinois LPN or RN license in good standing. Either qualifies. RN preferred.
- IM injection competency, including gluteal and deltoid sites
- Experience administering testosterone or GLP-1 medications on standing orders
- Phlebotomy and specimen handling are a strong plus
- Current BLS
- Steady and personable with a full injection block
Engagement
- Independent contractor engagement through the practice's PLLC at $37 per hour. You set your fixed days with us and invoice for hours worked.
