Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our EMS team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, with an EMS crew in an inter-facility transport ambulance. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to assess patient needs. Must have critical care experience from an acute care hospital, ED/ICU background.
At this time, we have Per Diem and Part Time roles which can lead to full time. No weekends!
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual healthcare needs.
- Interfacility transportation of critically ill clients on an ambulance.
- Cardiac monitoring/telemetry, IV medication management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
- Monitor patients' progress and respond to changes in their condition promptly.
- Advocate for patients' rights and needs within the healthcare system.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
- Minimum 1 year of full time experience working in a hospitals ED or ICU.
- Board certified within 6 months of hire, CEN/CCRN
- EMT / Paramedic certification
- BLS, PALS, ACLS Certifications
- Strong assessment skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
